Privacy Policy
1. Information Collection
We collect the question you type, the language you read in, and a coarse count of how often each endpoint is used. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we do not set anything that identifies you. There is no account to create and no profile to fill in.
2. Information Usage
Your question is used to pick which parts of the index to search, which official pages to read, and which model to draft the answer. Aggregate counts of searches and errors are kept so we can see which sources are failing. Your questions are not used for advertising, are not sold, and are not used to build a profile of you.
3. Document Library
The operator can upload PDFs so the assistant can answer from them. Those documents are read once and indexed; the text is not republished on the site, and the files are never shown to other readers. A question may be answered from an uploaded document instead of from the open web, and the answer then cites the document rather than a public URL.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. The one exception is the AI gateway that drafts the answer: your question and the retrieved source text are sent to it, because that is the service producing the reply. Aggregate counters are stored in an internal database that is never exposed to a page.
5. Data Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. The admin area is gated by a token that stays on the server and is never sent to the browser. The API key is read from the server environment and is not present in any page a visitor can see.
6. Cookie Usage
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one value in your browser's local storage — the interface language you chose — so the page comes back in the same language. That is the only thing stored on your device.
7. User Rights
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you rights of access, correction, completion and erasure over personal data held about you. In practice there is very little to act on: because questions are not tied to an identity, we cannot look up what you asked. If you believe data about you has been collected through this service, write to us and we will answer as far as we are able.
8. Children's Privacy
This service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used this service, contact us and we will delete the related records.
9. International Data Transfer
The model that drafts the answer is reached through a gateway that is not operated from inside India, so the question and the retrieved text are processed outside India. If that matters to you, the original official pages are linked from every answer so you can read the source directly.
10. Policy Updates
When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. The archived version is always the one linked from this address.
User Agreement
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using celedog.in you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Service Description
celedog.in is an index over publicly published Indian official data. It searches a curated category map and the open web, reads the pages it finds, and drafts an answer that links each claim back to its source. It is a retrieval tool, not a publisher: it does not host official documents and does not replace them.
3. No Advice, No Guarantee
Nothing on this service is legal, tax, investment, medical or compliance advice. A generated answer can be incomplete or wrong, and a confident tone is not a signal that it is right. For anything that carries legal or financial consequence, read the original document or ask a qualified professional.
4. Accuracy and Sources
Every answer links the source it used. The linked publisher — the ministry, regulator, exchange, court or statistics office — is the authoritative record; this site is a secondary index of it. If we have misread a source, the source wins.
5. Acceptable Use
Do not use the service to break the law, to impersonate anyone, to attempt to reach the token-gated admin area, or to scrape the site at a rate that would degrade it for others. Automated access should be polite and cache-respecting.
6. Intellectual Property
Official documents, government works and published datasets belong to the publishers and public authorities that make them available. celedog.in links to them and quotes briefly for the purpose of answering a question; it does not claim ownership of any source document.
7. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, Celedog Intelligence is not liable for decisions you make on the basis of an answer, for the availability of any third-party portal, or for any loss arising from reliance on generated content.
8. Privacy
How your question is stored, used and deleted is set out in the Privacy Policy on this page. That policy forms part of these terms.
9. Changes to This Agreement
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last did, and the archived version stays available at this address.
